We can now take BATHS

I don't know if any other parents get excited about losing the "stump", but we do. It is our sole mission from the time we leave the hospital to dry that thing out with as much alcohol as possible. We were finally successful yesterday morning! She looks so much cuter without that ugly purple "stump" in the middle of her belly. We had our first bath last night...Baylor didn't like it too much, but Big Brother loved helping. Anyone who has experienced bathtime with a newborn can attest that it is no easy feat since they are still so much like a rag doll. We kept telling her (over the screams of course) that someday she would love bathtime. Christian certainly does. Two year olds can do some funny things...since we are talking about baths I'll share one of Chistian's odd behaviors. We have these clear blocks with animals inside and he has taken one with fish to his bath ever since we moved into our new house. EVERY bathtime he takes the block and sets it on the side of the tub. He talks to his fish and shows them all his bath toys. If we put the fish in the water or move them out of the way he PROMPTLY puts them back where HE wants them. Anybody elses kids do something funny like that?

Hey Christy! Welcome to blogging and a big welcome to beautiful Baylor! Bathtime is the best! I think we actually rushed it with our first, I mean the stump was almost completely out...doesn't that count? With the second, his just hung on but I waited and waited and really worked on that thing with the alcohol wipes until...finally!

We have a leaky faucet in the tub (gotta call a plumber) fortunately it's the cold side. Our son loves to try and drink from the trickle!
