This week

We have been Buzz Lightyear. Disney was having a big sale and mommy scored this outfit and goggles for a grand total of $11!!!! I was quite impressed and so was Christian. Baylor just thought he was funny
Wednesday we celebrated with our good friend Ruby...she just turned 1. She was excited about the stacking cups she can see in the bag:)
And by Friday we were all a little sickly...nose junk and Christian says he has a soar throat. He was up several times during the night asking for water. He absolutely did not think he needed a nap today...
but he fell asleep while I was putting Baylor down for hers! In the above pic of Baylor you can see the headboard of our newest purchase. Jeff and I have been wanting a new bed for awhile and this one was a steal:)
The other BIG NEWS of the week is that Uncle Jeremy has a JOB!!! He didn't think he would find one and he needed one to count as an internship so he could graduate...Yeah Jeremy, we are so proud:)

Even a Princess...

can have a bad day

I was tagged to do 8 things about Baylor so here it goes:
1. Even though it is so not me...I love that she is a girly girl. She is very much into all things girl with a little boy stuff for good measure thanks to big brother
2. I love how affectionate she is. She loves to cuddle up close and sometimes she'll even pat your back when your holding her
3. She is a daddy's girl...loves mommy too, but can't get enough of her daddy
4. She sings with me when I put her to bed at night. We hope that all these music classes will pay off someday:)
5. She loves her family--brother, grandparents, aunts and uncles--She loves to point them out in pictures too
6. She is starting to say more and more words everyday and you're never quit sure what you'll hear when she opens her mouth. Lately she has started asking me "why?" when I say things to her. Example: "Baylor we need to take off your shoes before you get on mommy's bed" and she promptly says "Why?"
7. I know that her stubborn streak will be good one day, but may make for some very hard years ahead:) She doesn't seem to meet a challenge that she won't keep at until she gets it or just can't do anymore...than she says 'help'
8. She is my second sweet gift from God. I pray she will grow into a beautiful woman of God that stands up for what she believes in and puts her faith in Him.
Now I'll tag: Caroline G., Ashlyn M., Emmy M. and Paisley L.

What we like...

Christian is in love with all things STAR WARS. Uncle Travis found some of his old stuff and gave it to him over break...now he wants all STAR WARS all the time. These pictures were taken one day while Baylor was asleep and he was watching one of the movies. Some of the pieces are way too small for her to be around and we all know how well a two year old will keep something set up:) Each head of a character opens up to reveal a setting from the movie. I was not your typical girl so I was into all this myself when I was little. I'm enjoying doing it again with Christian:)

Baylor loves to look at books. One evening she decided she needed her Mrs. Potato Head glasses (thanks Avery) to help her out. We all got a big laugh:)

Nana sent me the pictures from her camera--so I have a few last shots of the day to share

A very cool picture using the elastic band
a little dark, but you can see that the grandparents got in on the action too

Nana and Papa gave Baylor a purse full of girly goodies--here she is putting on her wild berry flavored chap stick

Happy 2nd Birthday Baylor

Can this sweet little baby really be two?!?! I feel like it was just yesterday that we brought you home from the hospital. You were so small and we were almost afraid we'd break you... It did not take you long to have the whole house wrapped around those little fingers. Your brother, Daddy and I couldn't help but fall in love with you. You have had your own idea on how things should be from day one when you decided to make your appearance a month early!

Now look how big you are!!

This smile brings joy to anyone who sees it. You have eyes that seem to go one forever and I know boys will be drowning in them someday...your daddy already does:) Your laughter and curiosity for life brings our world new meaning. Everything that is old to us is a brand new experience that you relish in. With big brother in the lead you will go anywhere and try anything...you are a little shy when he's not there to show you how to do something, but once you feel comfortable you go full force. You seem to have energy that will never quit. I hope this zest for life continues as you grow. I know God has some incredible plans for you in the future. Your family can't wait to see what comes next...We love you Baylor Scout

Getting ready to party...

We had Baylor's 2nd Birthday party this weekend. We had it at my parents house and invited some of her best little friends (ours too). We stayed up late the night before decorating and started early that morning preparing food. That was all done a little easier since the guest of honor slept in til 9am!! I couldn't believe it, but enjoyed the time to make everything just right.

Christian making sure Daddy makes the cake right

The table...I found the centerpieces on Ebay and thought they were perfect.
We brought these plates back from Disney to use for the party. I found some Mickey shaped pretzels at Kroger the night before the party and we made some mouse shaped PB & J
Getting ready for some musical fun

Music with Miss Rachel

We had our Music Playhouse teacher come to share some fun with our friends. The kids all caught on pretty quickly and had fun. The parents may not have been as keen on participating, but they eventually got into it:)
Using the rhythm sticks was lots of fun

Baylor and Christian LOVE Miss Rachel

Fun with her friends & Family

Baylor had a fun time at her party...she was way more excited this year than her 1st.

Baylor and Avery are good friends
Our attempt at a group picture
Havin' fun with Daddy

What's a party without cake?

My husband is so good at everything he does...I don't know why I doubted he could make our Minnie Mouse cake. He did a fantastic job and everyone at the party was impressed. Anna Kate and Caitlyn thought it was yummy
Nana & Papa were the designated cutters
Baylor thought it was pretty good too
Heather had two mouths to feed as usual

Presents!!

Can't I open these yet?!?!?
Christian enjoyed 'helping' Baylor with all her opening
Mumbo!! When she opened this from Christian she was so excited!! She instantly started running around saying "he fly, mumbo! he fly!!"

Baylor's Kitchen

I'm proud to say that, with only a little frustration, I put Baylor's kitchen together:) Her refrigerator
Her pots and pans are real metal...Corn anyone?
Mickey and Minnie were looking on...
as Baylor had a blast!!

Christmas at Mam-ma's house

We always celebrate the day after Christmas at my grandmothers house...she lives in farmhouse in small Buffalo, KY--we all always have fun. Above is my Uncle Willie and cousin Mandy. Below you see us all lining up for Mam-ma's good home cookin'
