Spring Program 2011

Baylor's last Spring Program at Otter Creek was "Read, Sing and Celebrate". Each class had a different Eric Carle book that their group performance was based off of. All the classes did such a great job. These times are always fun to watch the teachers interact with the kids.

"Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see?"
I missed getting a picture of the cute "Little Clouds"

"The Grouchy Ladybug"

"The Very Hungry Caterpillar"

and last, but not least "The Very Busy Spider"

There shirts were so cute and so was the singing

doing the jitter bug:)

at the end the whole MWF group got on stage and sang some songs with Mr. Russ. He does bible story/singing with them every Wednesday. ALL the children look forward to "Mr. Russ day"

love my sweet girl

It was hard to get a picture of everyone smiling...sorry Mrs. Anna

This girl loves to look anywhere, BUT the camera

but she actually looked this time!!! She has such a big smile b/c she loves her teacher

We continued the reading theme with a "dress up as your favorite book character" day at Christian's school. We recently read and watched "Wizard of Oz", so Christian decided to be the Tin Woodsman. I think he and his daddy did a good job on his outfit.

February

Do you know how hard it is to get three 7 year old boys to take a "normal" picture?!?! In the middle is our neighbor Bailey and on the right is a boy from our team Conner. His mom was Christian's 1st grade teacher and he knows Bailey from other sports.

We rounded out the basketball season with an All Star competition. Christian was a part of the Skills Challenge. He had to shoot a ball, then thread through some barriers while dribbling, do a chest and bounce pass, a lay-up and thread again. He did a great job and we were very impressed with his learning during the season. He had fun and wants to do it again next year.

Then it was on to Valentine's Day...Heartbreaker #1

and #2 (can you believe those eyes?!?!)

Baylor LOVES her daddy

her favorite PJ's say "I love Daddy" and Jeff is always telling her he needed some that said "I love Baylor" so we made him a shirt for Valentines Day. She was so proud and gets excited every time he wears it

Finishing up Christmas

Baylor had her last OC Christmas Program

followed by a fun party in her classroom

Mrs. Anna gave them all special ornaments

The big man came for a visit...

and these silly girls always have fun together

We snagged a picture with Lanie and Ryan (our carpool buddies)

Christian had a party at school too. Mrs. Sentell was due THAT day, but didn't have sweet Sarah until a couple days later. We were so glad she was able to be with us til the end of the semester.

a few random things

We tried out sponge rollers...she was so cute reading with her daddy before bed

This is Ruby and Baylor at the park. I thought it was sweet

Christian's school had a special WALK TO SCHOOL event. We walked one mile from the old school to the new one courtesy of some sidewalks we had installed from the Safe to School Initiative in our state. Daddy went in late to work so he could walk with us and Baylor didn't complain once about the distance b/c she was so enamored with watching all the big kids

Halloween 2010

The Friday before Baylor's class had a party. Everyone came dressed up-there were football payers, princess', a nurse, a policeman, a skeleton, a rock star and a butterfly. Mrs. Anna was a very cute box of crayons

I copied these two off Facebook and they won't get bigger, but these girls are cuties no matter what size the picture

The whole class made masks

and ate some yummy treats

The official day was on a Sunday this year, so that made things a little hectic. After church, lunch and a little rest time we had to get back over to church for Trunk-r-Treat. This is always a fun time with our church family. Many are spread out over Nashville and would not normally see each other in the neighborhood on this night.

Bobo Fett was checking on his jet pack. You never know when you might have to run off for a good bounty

Baylor made an adorable Sleeping Beauty. We curled her hair to "glam" up her look a bit

Levi can't wait to grow up and look as cool as his daddy (thinks he) is

Who are these masked men...

Christian and Luke of course

Our cute monkey was a little warm in his costume, but he survived long enough to get some loot

Bobo Fett and Caitlyn (Princess Leia)

Thought this was cute of the girls. Are they planning an attack on the boys or just deciding which row of cars has the better candy?

My little princess and her Queen

The sun is always an issue at Trunk-r-Treat...
Amy and Becca were troopers to still pose with me

Is Paige not the cutest little rag doll?!?!

JB and me (I know that is not proper grammar, but it sounds cuter)

The best part about this get up is that she is actually a police officer so she would normally be after the bad guys. Her dog was a bag of money

James the fireman

Baylor, Avery (Belle) and Macy (a black cat)

Jay (Darth Vader) and Xander (Iron Man) were on B's soccer team...Jay looks like something is pretty funny

Sweet Kamry

Mrs. Becca aka Pinkalicious giving Baylor some candy

is this a cute little golfer or what? We love our Stuart:)

We went home and got ready to trick or treat around the neighborhood. We had dinner over at the Gilreath's with Patricia, Jay and Garren. We are so glad we have become friends and get to see them b/c we all have fun.
Below you will see Cruella, a Queen and Snow White

AND Jack Sparrow, a Jedi and a vampire

The kids were all dressed and ready to hit the streets

Harry Potter and Hedgwig

So excited to go

Ready to roll out

I opted out of lugging the camera in the dark b/c we all know the pictures wouldn't look that great anyway. We had so much fun and tried not to make it to late of a night since we did have to wake up for school the next morning.
