Sweet Christian story:

A couple of days ago, after I put Baylor down for a nap, I was trying to catch up on a little Bible reading (Our church started at the first of the year with a schedule of reading the entire bible through out the year together). I am a couple weeks behind, but still trying hard to stick with it. Christian came in and started talking to me and I told him I was really trying to read my bible and I needed him to be quiet. A few seconds later more talking...I told him he could stay with me if he was quiet or he could go to his room and play. He was quiet for a few minutes and then headed for the door saying "I'm going to go read my bible" and I told him he could bring it to my room and we'd each read our bibles together. So there we sat for 5 or 6 minutes reading our bibles together while he occasionally asked a ? or pointed out something. (His was one with pictures of course)

It all stopped when first my mom called (with a sweet invitation to dinner) and then I heard weird noises coming from Baylor's room...she had decided not to nap after all and there went our sweet quiet time.

It was nice while it lasted...

Warning: following post not for people without kids cause you'll just think it's gross

Someday Baylor is going to be mad at me for posting this but I thought it was funny:

I just went upstairs and there was a noticeable stench coming from her room. I knew she must have pooped after I put her to bed (she had been passing gas before bedtime and of course her answer was "No" when asked if she needed to go Poo-poo) Now I was in a dilemma because I didn't want her sitting in it ALL night, but I didn't want her waking up either. Jeff and I weighed the pros and cons for a couple minutes and finally decided I just needed to change it...who would really want to sleep like that anyway?!?!

So I go in there and get everything within reaching distance and slowly start to take off her jammies--she stirs a little--then I try to ease open the diaper--she opens her eyes up halfway and I tell her I'm just trying to get her a clean diaper--She promptly falls back asleep and snores through the rest of the diaper change!!! I could hardly believe it.

Destin: July 2008

We just got back from a trip to see Mim and Travis. Poor Jeff had to stay home at work while the kids and went with my parents. We met Travis' family and the Holts who are like family to the Clonch's. All total we had 13 adults and 6 children spread over 3 condos. It was crazy when we all tried to be together, but it was fun!! This picture is probably my favorite of Baylor from this trip. You can just hear the laughter when you look at it:) She was in a pretty good mood that night considering she hadn't napped.

This is a good one of Baylor with Mim and Travis...Christian was off being a big boy with Canyan and Jackson sitting in the front row.

And these show you what was probably Christian's
favorite evening. He and Travis wrestled for about 45 minutes!! They were both sweating by the end. Baylor tried to get in on it a couple times, but she decided it was too dangerous for her and cuddled up between me and KayKay. It was funny to watch and Christian loved EVERY second of it. I think we tired Travis out that evening.

Keep scrolling for multiple posts about the trip...you may not care to see all of it, but I try to get everything in here for memory sake.

Hanging out at the beach is always fun...Baylor prefers the sand to the water and this trip I would tend to agree. There had been some big storms the week before and they brought in all the seaweed:( The water was full of it and you couldn't even see through it Tex, KayKay and the kids
Christian thought it was fun to be buried in the sand
Baylor thought she wanted to try, but quickly changed her mind
Jackson, Canyan and Christian

Who knew there was an aquarium in Destin?!?! It's called the Gulfarium and it's over the bridge on the way to Ft. Walton. It's no Sea World or anything, but the kids enjoyed it. It was also a good activity to do during a brief, but hard rain. Most of the exhibits are outside, but covered so we stayed dry...except for the three boys who couldn't resist going out in the rain a little bit. Above is the dolphin show and below is a pic of Baylor watching
This Sea Lion was really funny
The touch and see pool
The boys in the slash zone before the show...they didn't get splashed too badly

We loved hanging out at the pool with Mim. She even got Baylor to start jumping in from the side...we have no picture proof of this but I swear she did it. I was also a super cool mom one night and took Christian swimming at night:) He thought he was sooooooooo cool.
Baylor ALMOST fell asleep like this until a big kid splashed them

We (really mom and dad) took Mim and Travis out one night. They picked P.F. Changs b/c it's one of their very favorite places, but they don't have one in their little Alabama town. We had fun just hanging out with them for awhile and got some super cute pictures.

Hello blue eyes!!! Some girl is going to melt in those someday
I love this one of the three of us
If you look under the horse you can see the kids

We like to go the Ocean Club as a group (They have a private room and a two for one special) the kids always enjoy feeding the fish and the turtles. There were two huge turtles there this year that the boys couldn't get enough of. Uncle Travis helping his girls
Aren't we cute sisters?
The whole group with timer...a little off center but still pretty good

We never did the nice beach pictures when we were here in May so I had to get some this time. This cool piece of drift wood had washed up on the beach and just called to be photographed

The kids can be awfully cute when they want to be

but it's hard to get them both looking at the same time

The Sanders family (Travis sister)

All the kids: Christian, Baylor, Canyan, Livvy, Mason and Jackson

The whole crew

Mim and Travis

I took my kids to play in the fountains at Destin Commons. Every time we go there I forget to bring their suits with me and they always want to play in them...this time we went special just to do that. They weren't that interested!!!! Of course anytime you think you've planned something just right it will backfire. The play area behind the fountains was REALLY hot and I think Baylor burned her feet a little bit:( She was over it quick enough but had a little blister on each of her big toes the next day.

KayKay of course came to their rescue and let them ride the train b/c Mommy said she wasn't going to pay for it since they had just ridden it when we were there in May. Afterwards we went to Johnny Rockets for lunch. (Dad and Travis met us there after their golf game) We all had milkshakes--I think it was Baylor's first one and she LOVED it.

We took the big boys to Big Kahunas to ride go carts and rides. Below is the big go cart that mommy had to drive, but Christian thought was way cool. We even passed Brad and Canyan once and he loved that Then we moved on to some smaller carts that the boys could drive themselves. The funny comment from Christian as he went around the circle was "Look Mommy, I'm in the lead!" Forget the fact that from where you look at a circle someone else could really be the leader
The BIG big boys rode super fast carts that we all watched. You can see Uncle Travis in the cart while Canyan and Christian wait on the bench
Bumper cars were another fun activity except Christian had a hard time reaching the gas pedal and would randomly stop as he tried to charge another car
And he was the only one that wanted to ride this kid version of a free drop ride

A couple of new post are below and stay tuned for beach pictures

Family Reunion

Jeff's Mom's side of the family had a reunion on July 12th. We met in Manchester and had lunch together. My kids were able to meet their newest cousin, Jade, for the first time. They had fun playing together and I thing Jade is looking forward to chasing after them when she gets a little bigger.

Not that you can read them in these pictures, but I found the kids these cute shirts at Uncle Dave Macon days...they say I love Nana. She loved them of course

Above are all the cousins (I believe) and then all the grandkids and great grandkids...plus me:)
