This week

We have been getting back in the swing of things with school and karate. Christian and I went with his class on a field trip. We went to the Children's Theater downtown to see "GO DOG GO" It was cute and the best part was listening to all the kids giggle!! We have both been pretty snotty--I went to the doctor to find out I had a sinus infection:( Antibiotics do wonders and I feel much better...Christian just needs to get the junk out of his system. He threw up last night b/c of all the mucus!! Imagine the scene: He had just eaten two platefuls of lasagna that he said was so yummy (I must brag that I made HOMEMADE lasagna with Mim's recipe) and not even ten minutes later it was all over a chair and carpet!! Jeff and I decided it was the grossest thing we have ever cleaned. This morning he is back to annoying his sister and just being a boy:)

We've also been missing KayKay and Tex VERY MUCH...They have been in Greece with several people from church. They have called twice and we talked for all of 5 minutes, but it was still good to hear their voices. It's hard when you are used to talking to someone EVERYDAY:) We have been in charge of the house, mail, horses, donkeys, cats and dog!!! We can't wait to see them tomorrow night!!!

Hope you've had a good week

Easter Sunday '08

It has been neat to listen to Christian talk about the Easter story. He is really getting it and seems to understand that it was a big deal. I am so thankful that we have a good children's program that focuses on teaching the children the background to all the stories. He is learning so much.

Here are my two Easter blessings Mom and Mim bought this dress for Baylor not long after she was born b/c it was just too cute to pass up...the matching jacket was a must for this chilly Easter. I was lucky enough to find a sweater for Christian that matched:)

Checking out their baskets
Our attempt at a good family picture

More Easter fun

I don't know how we got this many kids to sit down for a picture:) After the egg hunt Nana came back to our house to do some special cupcakes with the kids. She dyed icing and coconut flakes green for 'grass' and then they added jelly beans for 'eggs' They had a good little assembly line: Nana did icing, Baylor did grass and Christian added the eggs

They were both concentrating hard on their jobs
What fun is cooking without a little sampling?!?!?

Otter Creek Egg Hunt '08

We had a cold, but fun egg hunt on Saturday. I was a bad mommy and forgot jackets so my kids were freezing by the end. Daddy was still on his trip to Vegas--so here is our family picture minus 1 Christian is all hunched up from the wind:)
an action shot of our life group girls
Lila and froggy were hunting eggs too...her sister Ruby was home sick:(
Baylor and her good friend Avery checking out their stash of candy

Spring Break 2008 part 1

We went to see Mim and Travis!!! Here is a picture of their little townhouse. They (mim) have it decorated so cute. I was a bad sister and never got a picture of the two of us together:( but we all had so much fun. She even let Jeff and I have a day in Destin which is only an hour and a half from her house. Jeff and I enjoyed eating, shopping and just being together with no kiddos. Her and Travis are both great cooks and we were spolied by all the good food...Mim, don't forget to send those recipes!!! Here is their baby...Foxy was the hit of the trip. Both kids had so much fun playing with her. Baylor loved to run and then tell her to stop chasing her. She'd say "No, Bosy, No" (that's what it sounded like anyway)
She's only a few weeks old and is still so small
Christian tried to play Guitar Hero, but it's just a little too hard for his little hands. Who am I kidding?!?! It's hard for me to do:)

Spring Break 2008 part 2

We went to the Aviation Museum that is on base...it shows aircraft from the earlist to the most recent. There was even a hot air balloon basket that was used as a spotter for guns on the ground before they had the planes Our little family

There was a cockpit you could get inside
I think these planes were WWI or II

more pics from the museum

Christian and Baylor in front of a Vietnam era aircraft
Here Travis is demonstrating something about flying...that boy knows so much that means absolutley nothing to me:)

What cute little pilots

Mim said they call this the mini-van of the sky b/c you can fit so many soldiers inside

Spring Break 2008 part 3

Here Christian is sporting Uncle Travis' flight helmet and you can see Travis in his uniform I love the little smirk on Christian's face here...it's like he knows he is a big deal
We drove out to an airfield to watch some of the soldiers flying just like Travis does
If you look real close you can see a helicopter

Spring Program 2008

Otter Creek had it's Spring Program last Thursday. Here are my two cuties before the performance Each class was a different animal/ object you would associate with spring...Christian's class were little lambs
One song had them shaking their little booties during the chorus. Christian (at the far right) and Robert (in the middle) were really getting down:) He did so well in all the songs...he has gotten more confident with each show (they do a christmas and spring program every school year). The class recited a remake of Psalm 23...I'll try to get Jeff to pst video sometime b/c it was soooo sweet

Miss Fisher's Little Lambs

My mother-in-law told me she wasn't impressed with my snow pictures!! Blogger quit working on me before I could include the best one:) I love how you can see all the parts of the snowball he is throwing at the camera

SNOW

Saturday morning we woke up to a beautiful blanket of snow!!! This is the first time Baylor has been old enough to do much of anything in the snow...she DID NOT like to have snowballs thrown at her, but LOVED running around

Christian loves to make snow angels
Baylor's little hands were getting cold, but she wouldn't put on gloves

Friday Night Dinner

My parents are trying to get to know more people at church...they are starting with my age group and inviting a couple of families to dinner every other Friday. It took us a month to get the first two there so we'll see how well it goes from now on. The kids all had fun being together and its just nice to be with other adults sometimes:)
The girls table was nice and quiet
The boys were loud and spilt a little of everything!!
We had fun with the Troups and Braggs...glad the weather did not keep it from happening

Anyone else wishing it was Summer?
I bought the kids these swimsuits at the consignment sale this weekend and they spent an entire evening playing in them

Snow pictures to come soon:)

This and That

As I have mentioned before--we have started a new Life Group with some friends at church. Here are three of our girls: Carolyn, Baylor and Avery are all within 6 weeks of each other. Finley isn't pictured, but is just as cute and will catch up to these girls before we know it. Some of you already know this, but here is the picture proof...My little man has started Karate!! He looks so cute in his little uniform and is already learning so much.
When the instruction time is over the teacher gave them a 'fun treat' of wrestling each other off the mat. There are rules in place and they have to follow them, but they all still had a blast pushing each other.
I need a better zoom on my camera, but if you look at the end of the row on the left you can see Christian
