Bad Night

Last night was our first really bad night and we can't even blame the baby. Christian had a bad day at school-He got "cried" checked on his little daily report for the first time and didn't nap. Ms. Eva (his teacher) told my sister it had been a rough day and I was all set for a rough night. It wasn't that bad and he ended up falling asleep on the couch. I thought that meant our night was over...it wasn't. Christian came to our room at 2am ready to talk and play. After snuggling a minute I asked Jeff what time it was-wishfully hoping for at least 5 or 6 am-and he said it was only 2!! I promptly tried to take Christian back to bed and that started the tears. They only increased when he ran into the door jam because he wasn't walking too straight. After some comfort from Mommy and a reading of "Noah's Ark" and "Green Eggs & Ham" I thought our nightime party was done. At 3am he came back and Jeff took over. Then at 4am it was Baylor's turn...Jeff tried to give me some sleep by taking her, but it was all over by then. So basicly Jeff and I got snippets of sleep between 2am and 6:45. I 'll close with Jeff's quote of the night: "Welcome to Parenthood!"

Side note: We learned this morning that it all really started around 1:30 when he visited my mom's room first!!

Guys, I'm sorry about the bad night. We've had plenty of those recently, too. And, we can't blame it on the "baby" either. Cute pictures. Baylor is so beautiful!
