He seems to be 'getting it'

Christian has begun praying on his own...not just repeating what we say, but coming up with whatever is in that sweet little mind. Sometimes they are funny, but they are always sweet. This is just one of the ways he shows us he is starting to understand all this God stuff. We have had little conversations over the past couple years where he shows us a little glimpse of his understanding...he talks about how God lives in his heart and how God wants us to be nice to others. We certainly can't take all the credit. He goes to a wonderful school with such Godly women teaching him and our Children's Ministry is beyond belief AWESOME!!! Jeff and I have the priviledge to witness it first hand once a month...all the people put so much work into teaching our children, but they are 'lead' by two incredible women: Janet and Melanie are the sweetest gifts of God and I'm so thankful for what they do.

All this to come to this sweet conversation in the car last week:

Christian was singing a song from PreSchool Praise called Amazing Love. (This is his favorite song and he sings it often) We are in the phase of Baylor and Christian getting on each others nerves and it was no surprise to hear her say: "NO...Stop singing brother!!" "No more"
Christian proceeded to have his first little teaching time with his sister:

Christian: "Baylor do you know why I sing that? It is about God and his amazing love for us. He loves us sooo much and that song talks about it. Do you know where God lives? He lives up there" (he points up)
Baylor: "sky?"
Christian: "Yeah and in here too" (points to himself)
Baylor: "me?"
Christian: "he lives in our heart and I love to sing about his love that's why I sing that song"
Baylor: "okay"

He sang a couple more bars and then it was back to them being nit picky at each other, but that brief conversation made my heart smile:)

Thank you God for giving me these brief moments of your love between my children. Help me to be the tool you need to teach them everyday. Let us all take time to appreciate your love and all you bless us with. Thank you for family and friends to help me on this journey...I couldn't make it without them. Most importantly Thank you for your AMAZING LOVE
