Our boy is growing up
Here is Christian on his first visit to church. We were so proud to introduce him to so many new people. He wore the sweetest little light blue bubble suit that he wouldn't want to be caught dead in now:) He was 7 or 8 weeks old and we thought the time would last forever.
Flash forward five years and here he is on his 5th birthday Sunday!! I can hardly believe that all this time has flown by and I've become the mother of a 5 year old. You looked so big on that stage. Mommy and Daddy were both very proud of you. You had the biggest smile on your face as the church sang to you and you held Mr. Bob's hand as everyone went upstairs to get their cake. Mrs. Barbara makes a yummy chocolate cake every month for all the birthday kids:) Mommy even got to have some bites b/c you were so sweet to share!!Posted by Christy at 10:33 AM 0 comments

PreSchool at the Playground
Our church always has some activities in the summer for the various age groups. One of the little kid faves is time at a park or this year our very own playground. KayKay was nice enough to sit at our house for awhile(during floor work) so we could escape to this fun activity.
My kids hardly ever get to match so when I found these sweet shirts I had to buy them. They read: God made the sun, God made the sea, God made the fishys and God made ME
Fun was had by all and we really enjoyed our new playground equipment. On the slide is sweet Baylor, the swings are Christian, Lila and two of our favorite twins Sydney and Abagail

new floors
Ever since we have moved into this house we have needed to replace the back door and the hardwoods. The previous owners had rottweilers that chewed through the door frame and every time it rained water got in, soaked the floor in front of the door and caused water damage. We finally got around to doing all this last week. Here is what it looked like when they took the old floors out.
Here is the hole that was in the sub flooring that they had to repair before putting the new floor down
This is the 'in process' photo of them ripping up the old floor. The carpet you see in the dining room is no longer there either. We loved the look, but they told us it would be way too expensive to try and leave it.
And here is a not so glamorous after picture--but what can you really do with floors:)
I'm very happy with the finished product and the guys that installed it were really nice...they even came back on Saturday to finish some of it out.

BIG GIRL BED
Over Memorial Day we took the plunge and made Baylor's crib into a big girl bed. We weren't too sure how it would go, but as of this post so far so good!!!
Daddy hard at work
All ready to go 'night night'. Now she asks 'I go to big girl bed Mommy?'
Later that week we had a Nana day:) She came over in the morning and we spent the whole day doing fun stuff. We checked out Wild Oats Market, picked out material for Nana to make Baylor a sundress, had lunch at Puffy Muffin, had a little rest time (Nana was the only one to fall asleep), went to Karate and ate dinner at Chick-fil-a. We were all pretty tired by the end of the day, but we sure had fun!

Last week the storms cut power out at my parents house so Christian had to do his activity book by rainy sunlight/candle light
