Parade of Bible Characters

You have to look really close on stage...but there is my little Adam and Eve. It has been a tradition for (who knows how many) years at our church to have a Parade of Bible Characters the Wednesday night before Halloween. The children (with much help from the parents) dress up as obvious or obscure bible characters or concepts. They are to come up with three clues to be read to the audience and then we all try to guess. Christian and Baylor were very cute, even if they were very obvious, as Adam and Eve. Each one had an apple, Baylor had a stuffed snake and I dressed them in greenery. It was fun...some people get really creative. One boy had pieces of paper with numbers written all over him--He was the book of Numbers. A family that has gone through a lot of medical stuff with their kids were all dressed up as patients in a hospital--there clues led you to fiqure out that they were the concept of PATIENCE. After all the children got their moment on stage one of our childrens ministers led us all in some of the songs they sing in Children's Worship on Sunday mornings...it was so sweet to see even the smallest kids (Christian included) try to sing all the words and do the hand motions. It is nice to take time to remember that God gave us everything and provides all we need.

How cute! Baylor and Christian looked great as Adam and Eve. What a neat idea for your church to do a Bible Character Parade!
