Easter 2010

I love celebrating Easter with my family. The kids have begun to understand what it is all about (to a point) and I enjoy taking time to remember what HE did for me. I spent some time that weekend watching THE PASSION-never easy to watch, but a good visual reminder of the sacrifice. As a mother it is even more heartbreaking to think of Mary watching her son go through all the torture and abuse.

Our service that morning was great. We had a choir along w/ the normal praise team. Day lilies were all across the stage and a cross was hung in the middle draped with flowers.

Baylor was not in much of a picture taking mood, but you can still see the cuteness:)

We spent the afternoon with our AWESOME neighbors. We all pitched in to make a yummy lunch and indulged the children in one more hunt

The Easter bunny made a visit to our house that morning. He left baskets FULL of all sorts of goodies...bubbles, T-shirts, coloring books, movies...

Trying out the new kaleidoscopes

and Baylor has new 'food' to feed her baby

It rained Saturday morning, so they moved the egg hunt at church indoors. The kids didn't care one bit. I forgot to ask if any adults found a chocolate surprise during service the next day...

Our favorite friend:)

They did let the "big kids" hunt out on the playground. Only someone as tall as Christian could have found this egg

Our good friend Lila

Lighting may not be the best, but those are some cute smiles

On Good Friday we dyed eggs (with our good friend Caroline) and talked about why we were doing all this celebrating to begin with

Baylor's class party was at her friend Kyle's house. It was the perfect spot for a fun day outside.
We all played outside in the BEAUTIFUL weather

A first...

Christian still absolutely LOVES to play with his best friend from Kindergarten, Patrick. So...we had him come over for our very first sleep over. The boys played Wii the majority of the night, with a healthy dose of Transformers thrown in. They talked a little when they went to bed, but settled in and slept through the night. More Wii was played in the morning...I should have taken a picture of Patrick's hair, he had some major bed head going on:)

OC Spring Program 2010

This years theme was Mother Goose. Each class had a classic nursery rhyme and then did a couple of other songs. These teachers never cease to amaze me with their creativity!!

"Otter Creek...I'll always think, you are oh so cool...Good old Otter Creek (WHOO) Otter Creek my preschool" sung to the tune of Rocky Top

Are they rockin these sunglasses or what?!?!

They did a hip hop version of Jack and Jill...it was so cute

Baylor's very best friend in the whole wide world, Caroline, had a ballerina party

Some real dancers gave them a little mini lesson

and they made super sweet animals to dance with
For Valentines day we decided to skip the crowds and each take one of our little valentines on a date...the kids thought this was so cool

Baylor told Jeff he had to wear a tie if they were going on a date:)
