I love celebrating Easter with my family. The kids have begun to understand what it is all about (to a point) and I enjoy taking time to remember what HE did for me. I spent some time that weekend watching THE PASSION-never easy to watch, but a good visual reminder of the sacrifice. As a mother it is even more heartbreaking to think of Mary watching her son go through all the torture and abuse.
Our service that morning was great. We had a choir along w/ the normal praise team. Day lilies were all across the stage and a cross was hung in the middle draped with flowers.

We spent the afternoon with our AWESOME neighbors. We all pitched in to make a yummy lunch and indulged the children in one more hunt

The Easter bunny made a visit to our house that morning. He left baskets FULL of all sorts of goodies...bubbles, T-shirts, coloring books, movies...

It rained Saturday morning, so they moved the egg hunt at church indoors. The kids didn't care one bit. I forgot to ask if any adults found a chocolate surprise during service the next day...

They did let the "big kids" hunt out on the playground. Only someone as tall as Christian could have found this egg

On Good Friday we dyed eggs (with our good friend Caroline) and talked about why we were doing all this celebrating to begin with
