My son....

Does not enjoy sleeping in new places. This picture was taken around 9 am...he had only been asleep since about 5am!! We stayed at my aunts house the night before Glendale days. Christian was in the same room we were...mistake # 1 and he has had trouble with shadows and stuff lately so being in a new place was mistake #2. We had a VERY LONG night and Baylor was luckily in another room or all 4 of us would have been up all night. My son also loves horses!! What could make his Tex any prouder?!?! This is Mandy, Sable and Christian before their ride.

Christian had the best time and my Uncle Willie (my mom's brother) even rode with him a little while. It was a perfect fall day and everyone enjoyed being outside.
Who knows...maybe some horseback riding lessons are in our future?!?!

Glendale Days

Mam-ma, Pap-pa, me and Kim at the parade. It was great to get to see them and spend a little time. Pap-pa is getting weaker every time we see him so say a prayer for his health.

Baylor loves her Mim (or Mi as she calls her)

Every third Saturday in October we load up in the car and go to Glendale, Kentucky. It is a small town near where my grandmother and aunt live. The crowds that attend this big festival increase the size of the town by at least three times the normal amount. There is always a parade with clowns, cars and more tractors than you could ever imagine!! The pic to the left shows Christian looking at a huge firetruck as it passes by. You can also see my Aunt Judy and cousin Mandy along with KayKay, Baylor and Mim. There are crafts and food as far as your eye can see. A group of ladies makes chili every year that people line up for (they brew it for 24 hrs prior to the festival). This was Jeff's first experience with Glendale days...I'm not sure he was all that impressed, but now he knows what we've been talking about all these years:)

Something to make you smile...

a bad hair day. This is how I found Baylor's hair this morning after a rough night of tossing and turning (I assume). Doesn't seem to bother her...Have a good day and try to stay dry:)

Weekend Fun

We had another party with our cul-de-sac over the weekend...the Fall Ball (as we named it). One of my neighbors boyfriends parents (did you catch all that?!?!) has a farm in Franklin that we were able to enjoy. Fun was had by all. We had a hayride, painted pumpkins (figured out the WRONG paint to use for pumpkins:), ate some yummy barbecue and watched the kids play. My cute little family before the hayride
Nathan and Josh are just so cute
Aaron on the tractor...we saw several deer on our hayride, but it was too dark to get a good pic
Natalie and Baylor enjoying their food
The party had a bit of a rough start and end for our family. At the beginning...Jeff was the first to leave the cul-de-sac. He went to pick up the barbecue and had Christian with him. (He was attending a guy thing later that evening and needed to drive separately) Unfortunately they were the LAST to arrive. He drove around for two hours because I had not copied down the mileage on the directions and when he missed his turn he just kept on driving--sorry honey. At the end...Baylor had been feeling fine all day and acting great. She ate way too many Cheetos (thanks Tonya:) and an orange iced cookie along with a hot dog. Not the best meal I know...anyway....I changed her into her pajamas, strapped her in the car, changed Christian into his pajamas and strapped him into the car.. I had my hand on the handle to switch my car in reverse when I hear several moans from the backseat and then the sounds of Baylor throwing up!! I turn around to see nothing but a sea of orange gunk everywhere!!! Remember Jeff is not with me and everyone else was still down where the party was going on finishing clean up. By the time my neighbors realized I was still there most of the clean up was done (I was quite grossed out!!) and I was ready to get out of there. We made it home and into the bath...got dressed, layed her down into her bed only to hear those lovely gagging noises AGAIN!!! Back in the bath, change the sheets, get redressed and finally get her settled by about 10:30pm!!

Not the best beginning and end but we sure had fun in between:)

Pumpkin Patch with Friends

We went to Waldon Farm last week with our neighbor friends. Natalie, Christian, Baylor and Becca all had a great time. There were animals to look at/feed, a hay maze to navigate, toys to play with, a water pump to try out and of course lots of pumpkins to see. A snack of candy corn and juice was enjoyed:)
They had to search to find just the right one
"I found a little one Mommy!"
We may have a future farm girl on our hands...Baylor loved the tractors!

The time you wish...

you weren't the mom. We went to Chick-fil-a on Wednesday evening before church. We do this every Wednesday and it seemed to be like all others until...Baylor threw up all over herself and the floor!!! I had just looked at her and seen it when she did it again!! We (and the nice people that work there) had to clean her and the floor all up...not very appetizing for others trying to eat. Jeff was the best husband ever and took her home so I could go to church. She continued to throw up off and on until 11 or 12. Not the best night:(

We are pretty sure she just has a sensitive gag reflex. She has a lot of drainage right now and that seems to be the bulk of what keeps coming up. Her throat may hurt from it too, b/c she doesn't want to eat much. Oh the life of a toddler who can't really tell you what's wrong...

Welcome Fall

My mom and I went to a local farm to get some fall decorations the other day. Baylor wasn't too sure about it at first, but she started to warm up to the idea of picking out little pumpkins just her size. I finally had to go put some back when she wasn't looking:) Here you will see my little ode to fall. I love to decorate for holidays/seasons. When they saw the display a neighbor told Jeff he must have Martha Stewart living with him...HA HA HA. He rightfully informed them that I have the decorating thing down, but not anything else she does.

It may not be the best ever picture of the kids, but they look happy:)
