Our one year old
This is our sweet one year old. Who knew how much joy she would bring when we surprisingly went to the hospital a year ago tomorrow. Her personality seems to be exploding and she surprises us with something new everyday. She is quite the little character and will giggle aloud at the funniest things...mostly whatever her brother is doing! She is quite the snuggler too. When she wants to be sweet she'll nuzzle into your shoulder and look up at you through those beautiful eyelashes...it melts your heart. Baylor can get anywhere she wants to fast as she crawls all over the house. She's getting better at pulling up and has even fiqured out how to get back down on occassion. It's pretty funny to watch b/c she sticks one leg out and then bends it in so she can kinda fall down slowly:) Miss Priss decided she was all done with baby food over the holidays so we are all table food now--with our two and a half teeth. Number three has barely broken through, but #4 isn't far behind. We've also switched to regular milk and she loves it. Baylor has taken to sippy cups a lot easier than big brother did...we just have to cut out that just before bed bottle. It will be hard for both of us because that is such a sweet time to sit quietly and pray together. Okay so maybe it will be harder for mommy, but I have come to look foward to that time with her.
We are blessed beyond measure and look forward to the year to come. Our prayer is that both our children will remain healthy and learn to love Jesus with all their little hearts. We want to raise them to be good people and to be helpful to others.
Happy Birthday sweet girl

The red tree
To answer some questions...I meant to mention the red tree you see in the background of our Christmas pictures. If you don't know my mother she absolutely LOVES the color red. There is a store across the river from Louisville called "Santa Depot"...my mom and dad went shopping and mom fell in love with the tree. It had red limbs, red lights, red everything...she batted those eyes and asked real sweet and dad said "No". Then he went searching on the Internet, found it MUCH CHEAPER than what the store was asking and it was delivered to mom's doorstep. She jumped up and down like a little girl. It was all I heard about for several days and she couldn't wait for us to come up so we could see it. I'm not sure she has even taken it down yet...she loves it. So for those that wondered and even those that could care less--that is the story of our red tree.

Happy New Year
I forgot to wish everyone a happy new year. We were still getting over sickness so we were really boring...got the kids in bed by 8:30pm and we followed around 10. Jeff tried to stay up to watch the ball drop, but when I rolled over and reminded him that Christian would be in our room early anyway he decided sleep was a better option. Hope you had fun however you rung in the new year...May God bless each person reading this and their families.

Christmas Morning
Christian came into our room at about 4am so excited. We made him wait until 5:30 and we woke everyone else up. I'm getting payback for all those times I woke my parents up really early on Christmas morning. Naps were had by 10am!
All he really wanted from Santa was a Jack-in-the-Box and a pair of roller skates. The man in red did not disappoint and Christian was SO EXCITED.
Baylor didn't do so bad herself...she is sitting in her own chair (Christian got one his 1st X-mas too). She also got some clothes, other toys and her first doll house.
Mommy got some smooches under the mistletoe:) Christian liked to sing "ho ho, the mistletoe hung where you can see, somebody waits for you, kiss her once for me" and than he would kiss whatever girl was near. It was really cute.

Christmas Eve
Our cute little family
Christian sprinkled special reindeer food all over the yard
Mom & Dad bought a piano for the new house. Travis is quite good and treated us to a song.
Christian with all his loot
We always open our presents from each other on Christmas Eve and Santa brings stuff the next morning. We had a fun time and all got more than we deserved...we are so blessed and I hope to teach our children not to take that for granted.

Mission Completed
Thanks to my wonderful husband who did A LOT for the kids...Baylor's scrapbook is done!! I am so excited. It was really important to me to have it done before her party and as of 10:30pm last night I can say"It's finished!" I was a little worried b/c I only got up to 8 months done before Christmas and then I was sick when we came home--Jeff and the kids were kind enough to share their crud from the week before--so I lost a day of work when I was down and out. Soar throats really get to me and with the nose added to it I just felt crummy, but I'm on the mend. Time to do last minute stuff before her party this weekend.
I was also going to post some Christmas pics, but something is acting screwy and not letting me. I'll try again later.
