Once there was a little girl who always said "I can't" or "I don't want to" whenever anyone asked her to try and use the potty. Her Mommy and Daddy tried to give her treats, told her all her friends were going potty, promised toys, outings, anything to get her to try and her answer was always "I don't want (fill in the blank of offered thing)" Many tears and fits would follow anytime they tried to make the little girl potty, so they finally stopped. The little girls parents were very frustrated.
The family was very busy while moving to a new house and starting school so they left the potty issue alone for awhile. They did mention that this new potty in the new house would be great for her to learn on...
Then one Saturday, the little girl walked downstairs without her diaper. The mommy asked where it was and the little girl said she was tired of wearing her diaper. Her mommy tried to not get too excited, but asked if she wanted to go on the potty..."NO" came the little girls response. Her mommy explained to her once again that if she didn't wear diapers she had to use the potty. They both decided to put her diaper back on, but the mommy and daddy decided the next day they would begin all out trying to train the little girl to use the potty.
She wasn't too thrilled with the idea, but at least tried to sit. She never did pee pee in the potty that day, but they were not going to give up. The next day the little girl tried to potty every time a special timer, her mommy set, rang. SHE WENT PEE PEE and cried. Her mommy felt bad, but knew she had to press on. The little girl went pee pee again and laughed:) She started using the potty EVERY TIME she needed to (w/ no accidents)!!! Her Mommy and Daddy were so proud of her, but felt like this proved just how stubborn their little girl could be.
Here is the beautiful girl...she doesn't wear diapers anymore. Her family and friends are very proud of her, how about you?
