Tuesday started the celebration with blueberry muffins w/ a candle:) This year has been THE year of excitement...Christian had a countdown going for 10 days beforehand and couldn't wait for his party. I guess I should say parties b/c we had two of them. What can I say: We love birthdays
Thursday we had a bunch of school friends over to get wet and crazy. These boys were so funny to watch run around. As you can see below they had no trouble being silly

Sunday afternoon we had our Life Group and several other special families over to celebrate. We grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, watched the kids play in the water and had fun hanging out. It was basically a good excuse to be together

As many of the kids I could get in the picture and if you look closely some of them don't look too happy...oh well...Christian had tons of fun
Christian,It is truly hard to believe that you are six years old. There are days when I feel like you were just born and now you have completed Kindergarten. You have such a love for learning that I pray continues...you stick with something until you understand it and you want to understand every bit of it. You want to know how and why things work the way they do and I fear I will quickly run out of answers. The biggest thing your daddy and I want you to know/understand is God and His love for you. He gave you to us as a precious gift and we are trying are best to raise you well. You continue to have a sensitive nature that can be so good and so frustrating at the same time...we are both still learning how to handle it:) You and your sister have a sweet relationship that is still growing. You each have your moments, but overall you love each other very much. I think your biggest accomplishment of the year was learning how to read. It has opened up so many new doors for you and I know it will continue to do so as you develop your skills. Mommy and daddy are so very proud of you and can't wait to see what the next year holds...
Love,
Mommy
