Thomas Party

My big 3 year old with Sir Topham Hat
Publix makes AWESOME cakes and had this 3D one we just had to have
Christian loved his cake so much he didn't want to cut it

Of course we had a Thomas the Train party. My boy loves nothing more so it was easy to fiqure out what kind of party to have. We wanted to have it in the morning so we decided to have a Pancake Breakfast. We found train molds that we used to make train pancakes for the kids. The adults were treated to Jeff's special blueberry or buttermilk pancakes along with fruit and lil smokies. We all had so much fun (even if Jeff was stuck making so many pancakes--Thanks, sweetie!). So many friends and family were able to be there. Nana, Papa and Uncle Jeremy came along with Tex, KayKay and Mim--(future)Unlce Travis was able to be here too which was loads of fun (we did some wedding planning the few days before the party). Mam-ma, Pap-pa, Aunt Judy, Uncle Willie, Ryan and Mandy all drove down fom KY to there too--that was extra special and we loved getting to see them. TONS of our friends were here with their kiddos and even though a few special ones were missing we all had a great time.

Christian's eyes lit up when he saw his special cake and was excited to have all of Thomas' friends on the wall (a guy at my parents church painted some of the characters for us and they looked AWESOME). As we sang Happy Birthday I watched him get his special smile(you know those sweet ones you only see every once in awhile) and look around the room at everyone. You could tell he felt so special at that moment--it makes me tear up just thinking about it.When were going to cut the cake Christian said "Don't cut it Mommy", but he quickly changed his mind when we explained that no cutting meant no eating. When he opened his gifts he didn't even realize they were all his. Some of his friends bought him a water table(just like he has played with at their house) and he thought it was theirs. He was just kinda staring at it and then said "It for me?" and then got excited. I'm so glad he seems to appreciate these special times. Thank you to all who helped or just came to enjoy--the party was a huge success.
