On March 12th Otter creek had their annual Baby Blessing. It is a sweet time of encouragement to the parents and asking God's blessings on our newest children. Dele Wilcher (who is an awesome woman after God's own heart) said a few words about bringing her children up at Otter Creek with other godly friends and what a blessing it has been. Our minister Tim Woodroof also had words of encouragement for us. One of our childrens ministers, Melanie Brown, had a charge for us to raise our babies to know the Lord, protect and serve them in the way we should and for the congregation to support us in this effort. Than each child had a few pictures on screen and each family went on stage. As you went up You were given a baby bible with your childs name on it and words of blessings were spoken over them. It is a very special time for our church family. This was the first BIG event in our new sanctuary and it will always be a special memory. Baylor was one of 29 babies born over the past year so it was good we had such a big stage:) It is also special to note that those 29 babies were born to only 27 families because we had TWO sets of twins!! (The Blankinships have two CUTE boys and the Glissons had two BEAUTIFUL girls) Baylor and Christian were so well behaved and we are so thankful for our precious gifts from God.
