Christian looses first tooth

He was oh so brave this morning and let Jeff pull the tooth. We discovered the new one growing in yesterday and knew we had to get the old one out soon. Christian wiggled all day yesterday and I had a turn this morning before Daddy pulled:)

Nana gave us this fun little holder that says "Tooth Fairy, Tooth Fairy when I close my eyes, Look under my pillow, I left a surprise!" You can see the tooth sitting beside it

Dance Camp

Our little girl turned into a ballerina this week. She had so much fun and couldn't wait to go back everyday. She pranced around the house showing us all her new moves. She missed her last day b/c of a fever and soar throat she has battled all weekend:( We will definitely be finding her dance program this fall

Christian turns 6 (w/ loads of pics of course)

Tuesday started the celebration with blueberry muffins w/ a candle:) This year has been THE year of excitement...Christian had a countdown going for 10 days beforehand and couldn't wait for his party. I guess I should say parties b/c we had two of them. What can I say: We love birthdays
Presents from Baylor and us...Han Solo and Chewy form the Millennium Falcon

Daddy and his big 6 year old

Baylor loves her brother or "bruth" as she has started calling him

Tex and KayKay bought a cool belt rack for all his TaeKwonDo belts
Thursday we had a bunch of school friends over to get wet and crazy. These boys were so funny to watch run around. As you can see below they had no trouble being silly

We had a couple pools, water guns and water ballons to play with

Sunday afternoon we had our Life Group and several other special families over to celebrate. We grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, watched the kids play in the water and had fun hanging out. It was basically a good excuse to be together

Lila is one of our most special friends

Nana and Papa were sweet enough to bring the meat for the party

Tex and KayKay shared their backyard with all our friends

Before the night was over we found a tick on Christian's leg...KayKay got it off real easy:)

As many of the kids I could get in the picture and if you look closely some of them don't look too happy...oh well...Christian had tons of fun
Christian,
It is truly hard to believe that you are six years old. There are days when I feel like you were just born and now you have completed Kindergarten. You have such a love for learning that I pray continues...you stick with something until you understand it and you want to understand every bit of it. You want to know how and why things work the way they do and I fear I will quickly run out of answers. The biggest thing your daddy and I want you to know/understand is God and His love for you. He gave you to us as a precious gift and we are trying are best to raise you well. You continue to have a sensitive nature that can be so good and so frustrating at the same time...we are both still learning how to handle it:) You and your sister have a sweet relationship that is still growing. You each have your moments, but overall you love each other very much. I think your biggest accomplishment of the year was learning how to read. It has opened up so many new doors for you and I know it will continue to do so as you develop your skills. Mommy and daddy are so very proud of you and can't wait to see what the next year holds...

Love,
Mommy

Time with the McVey's

These two are such cuties!!! They have known each other from birth, but only see each other once or twice a year. We went to Atlanta for a wedding (which I forgot to take any pictures of my sweet Nikki) and then lunch the next day. Macy and Christian have decided that they'll be getting married in 20 years so mark your calendars!! You think I'm joking, but Christian really did propose and that was Macy's answer:)
Bobby and Jeff
I used to babysit these two older girls when they were little...now they are in high school!!!

And we're off

waiting to get on the plane and then later we have our "can't wait to get there smiles"

This was what greeted us in our hotel room

Look how sweet these two can be
story time w/ Belle was our first official activity and you can see Baylor's great reaction above. They tried to pick Christian to play Gaston in their story, but he was too shy
