Fall Break in Savannah

We had so much fun hanging out with Mim in her new city. We read books...

made silly faces...

and we skyped Unlce Travis everyday. The kids thought this was cool
Mim took us downtown to see the sights. We saw Paula Deen's, but didn't want to wait in line to eat there. Visited a friend that lives downtown and had milk & cookies. Walked the river front and did some window shopping. Below you see Mim and Baylor walking through one of the many town squares.

It was bit brezzy to be down by the river. I'm sure it's more fun in the spring/summer

I love how he is deciding whether to kiss her or not...she had just bought him some fudge from the candy kitchen

'Oh I guess I will'

At Savannah Bee Company you can taste test several different types of honey and the kids can go to 'Bee School'

We drove to South Carolina (@ an hour) to what we thought was a pumpkin farm...They ain't got nothin' on TN!!!

They did have a funny looking miniature horse
Who knew you could find the world's largest mailbox down the road from my sister's

Mim loves the Spanish moss trees that are all over Savannah

We took advantage of the pretty afternoon and played at the park. Christian is pretending to be some kind of monster

These two were inseparable our whole trip. B sure loves her Mim!!!

We set the timer up to take this one...not too bad. Just a few hours later, Baylor and I were in an urgent care clinic b/c her left ear was bleeding. She had another ear infection and a busted ear drum, but did this girl complain? Not once!!! The doc said she was one strong little girl.

After dinner we had Smores...we all thought they were super yummy

Does he look like he was going to throw up in a couple hours? But that's just what he did...poor Mim cleaned most of it up. (We're just training her really well for when she has kids of her own)
Me and My sis

My kids have been doing a lot of growing up lately and Mim just couldn't believe Christian took showers all by himself

Mim decided to braid Baylor's hair

It turned out cute:)

We had a great trip. The only thing that made it better was that Mim rode home with us and stayed in TN for a few days:) It was fun surprising KayKay and Tex b/c they had no idea she was coming

Baylor's Open House

Otter Creek had a time last night for parents to come see what their kids have been doing and show off their room. Baylor loves her teacher--Mrs. Dele is fantastic!! In fact the whole school is full of fantastic women that love the Lord and our children. We are so thankful to have sent Christian and now Baylor through this wonderful place.
The kids were asked to draw a picture and tell what it was. Dele had them laminated and on the wall for us to see. Some kids said their picture was of Batman or a fish (it really did almost look like one). Baylor's is below...can you read it?
She loves her best friend Caroline:) They are so sad not to be in the same class this year and we are praying that will change next fall. They have so much fun together and ask about one another ALL THE TIME. Amy and I made sure to sign them up for some after school activities together--they look forward to that time every week.
Even though they are far from her favorite thing, Baylor made a spider with her hands and below you can see the leaves everyone painted
Baylor's hand print is part of the stem at the very top

This was the best pic I could get of Catherine and Baylor--She's our newest school friend

Star Wars

Storm Trooper

I took Christian and our neighbor Bailey to meet some Star Wars characters in Green Hills. We had mock light saber duels while we waited in line and then R2 came strolling along the hallway!!
The boys were excited to get a special gun to hold:)

Chewbacca came out after we had met the other characters...he was huge!!

Morning Glory Apple Orchard

Christian's class took a field trip to the apple orchard. It was a learning experience for me too b/c I've never been to one. He seems to have stared to make some friends in his class and it was fun to watch him interact with them. He is on the last row on the right...not sure why he's holding his nose like that.

Anna Kate and Christian

Farmer Ben (who referred to himself in the third person the entire time we were there) showing the kids the special ladder they use to get the apples from the trees

In the classroom area

Miss Kristin made an apple slinky:) and then she cut in half for each child to have a sample of an apple smile

Disney on Ice w/ the Greens

We decided to make it a family double date and took the kids to see the newest Disney on Ice: Celebrations. It goes around the world showing different things people celebrate. We visited South America for a Carnival, China for the Cherry Blossom Festival, Hawaii for a Luau (complete with fire circle on the ice!) and some old fashioned American holidays too. We tried for a family pic, but couldn't get both ours to look at the camera...big surprise. I think the Green family looks cute in theirs. This was an early b-day present for Caroline who is turning 5 this week!!

Mickey started off the show with his Fantasia outfit and brooms. We were a tad late and missed a little, but Christian still loved it. He plans on dressing like this for Halloween.

Lots of the villains paid a visit during the Halloween portion...the costumes were very cool

Here's who Baylor will look like at Halloween
Mary Ann probably won't appreciate this one, but I love her reaction as Christian is explaining something to her:)
Caitlyn and Caroline

For the Valentines portion of the show, Minnie wished she could be a beautiful princess and find her prince charming. Her fairy godmother granted her wish and all the princess came to visit w/ their own prince to show Minnie what to look for.
Above is Aladin and Jasmin...Belle and her prince are below

All the princes and princess'

And who would have guessed that Mickey would turn out to be her prince charming?!?!

New Orleans...Mardi Gras (the new Princess and the Frog movie is based here too)
