Friends are fun

Caroline, Caitlyn, Anna Kate, Carter and Christian all LOVED their treat. Something cooland sweet on a HOT day. It felt more like July than April outside--85' and sunny.

We went to the park after school with our friends. I brought popsicles as a treat and as you can tell they all really enjoyed it! (Baylor thought it looked good too, just a few months baby girl.)We love all our friends so much. I am so thankful that we have them to grow up with. The kids and the parents mean so much to our little family...I can't imagine our life without them.

KayKay & Tex gave Baylor a lamb

We went to my parents house for the last time. It is on the market and should sell semi quickly(we hope). It was a little sad to think that someone else would be living there, but we can't wait to make new memories in the Nolensville house. We took lots of pictures, mostly b/c it was Baylor's only time there and Travis was in for the weekend too. Christian had so much fun playing with him and Tex. They do all sorts of fun stuff together. That's what Uncles and Grandpa's are for, right? We had fun and Baylor was oohed and ahhed over at my parents church...they were so proud. I'm sure it will be sad for them to leave the friends they have made there, but it isn't that far away. Nolensville will make a great getaway for any of those Louisville people who want to visit.

Happy Easter

Our little bunnies had a fun Easter. Baylor loved her bunny ears and Christian had a fun time trying to "hunt eggs". He had a Egg hunt at school, church and great-grandma's house. He had fun at each one. The school one included a party of course and I was one of the party moms. That was a little hectic and stressful, but I had two other moms that did more than I did. The kids all loved it which was the important part.

Our Brave Boy

Our son rode a horse!! Okay, so he was just led in a circle two times BUT if you only knew how he conquered a fear. Our friend Ty had his birthday at a local farm and the kids got to pet some animals. It was really cute...at the end they had a chance to "ride" the horse. Most everyone did it, but Christian kept saying NO. After the party was basically over he finally said he would sit on it. After feeling good about that he said he would ride. Jeff and I were so PROUD of him. He looked so big up there. I think Tex already has plans in mind for Christian's future with horses.

The other pics are from a night at home with Daddy. As you can see, the kids love being with their daddy. Christian put his hand around Baylor on his own and said" I love her" (which is one of his favorite things to say about his sister). They are so cute together!!

First Movie

We took Christian to his first movie today, Ice Age 2. He was literally sitting on the edge of his seat he was so excited. He reamined in his seat almost the whole movie. Their were a couple scarier looking animals he didn't like, but climbing into Mommy or Daddy's lap seemed to help. We had fun watching him, too. Baylor was with us, but slept through the whole thing. All in all it was an enjoyable trip that we would not mind repeating. Baylor won't always sleep that long, but maybe she'll be content. We'll see next time.

Weather has been crazy around here. We have not had anything much more than rain, thunder/lightning and some high winds. Yesterday really bad storms went through the North part of town. About a mile from where Jeff typically works was severly damaged...by the grace of God he was not there. The kids and I spent some time in the basement, just to be cautious. Kim had to squeeze into one hall of her dorm with 100's of other girls for a little while, but suffered through it safely. Jeff's parents had some sizable hail and ended up with a few dents in the car. They say we may get a couple more bad storms before the end of the month. I pray that the Lord continues to watch over all our family and friends.

P.S. Work went really on Wednesday night. Christian acted like we had never left and Baylor was a good girl.

Sleeping & Going back to Work

We have had two nights of blissful ALL NIGHT sleep. I'm probably jinxing it by bragging, but we are so excited!!! It was much needed not only b/c of all the nights she did't but, also to help poor daddy. He has had some neck/shoulder problems that have sent him to the chiropracter twice this week. He is headed again on Thursday to finish up. The Dr. said he is so tight in these areas that it doesn't take much to throw it out of whack. He is doing much better.

Tonight is my first night back at the YMCA since October. I had to go on bedrest and then we had to wait until Baylor was a little older before starting back. Please pray that both kids (and me) don't pick up any virus or other sick stuff. It is so hard to know this time of year b/c kids could have allergies or it could be a nasty cold that the parents don't seem to care about spreading. Baylor will be in her own little baby section and Christian basicly has the run of the place:) It should be fun and it is only one afternoon/evening a week. We can't wait for summer to start going back to the pool there. Baylor is able to stay in the nursery while we are swimming, so that will make for some good Mommy and Christian time. Until then we just have to dream...Christian is already talking about it!!
