Christmas

After service we had dinner and came home. The kids were being super sweet...they cleaned the play room, got ready for bed and set everything out for Santa. All while patiently waiting to open gifts!!!

They were just as excited about giving the gifts as getting them. Baylor loved giving her daddy something Titans and she was excited that it was soft:) It was a fleece pullover with the Titans symbol
Christian got LOTS of Legos

B helping me open one of my gifts...a pretty new camera strap

I love both of these boys sooo much!!!

My mom always took pictures of my sister and I at the top of the stairs Christmas morning...I think this is one of my favorites b/c they are so excited and disheveled all at the same time

and we didn't just have presents...it was a WHITE CHRISTMAS

Our budding cinematographer got a mini video camera in his stocking

and Baylor got a Hello Kitty camera

and from the top of her list...a Princess and the Frog dress

it didn't take Christian long to curl up with a book he received

Christmas in Kentucky

Christian has become our photographer lately. Not too bad:) We went to my parents house on Christmas night. It was so good to ALL be together this year. We had a few presents and lots of fun. You really begin to see the bigger picture of what is most important when a family member has been gone (like Travis was) and returns home to share in the holidays.

Mim picked her out a pretty necklace on their trip overseas and is helping B put it on

Travis brought us all back some goodies from Afghanistan. Baylor got a bracelet and Christian got his first pocket knife...both made from lapis that is mined there. Mom and I got the most beautiful pottery with carvings etched in the sides. Jeff and dad received these Elders hats. They are wool and very warm b/c believe it or not it gets very cold over there.

We spent the next couple days playing with our presents and hanging out with the fam

Christian did a little stand up routine for us...the boy loves to tell jokes

Kim was so happy to be able to cuddle with her sweetheart this year

4th of July

On the Fourth we had a little street party. I made these brownie bites into a flag:) Below are Martha, Baylor, Bailey, Cooper and Robby enjoying some of the shade

Baylor was very excited that we had matching toes

We capped off the night w/ fireworks at the local park

A few days before we had our annual fun at Lipscomb w/ jumpy houses, a big slide and a jewelry making station

Working very intently

Christian decided it would be fun to watch the fireworks all wrapped up in his sleeping bag

Tressa and Caleb playing w/ the sidewalk chalk

We had high hopes that Baylor might actually watch the fireworks this year...we bought her ear plugs and everything. She watched the first couple and then spent the remainder of the time buried in my shoulder

The 4th of July (on the 3rd)

We spent Friday night at Lipscomb University for the end of their Summer Celebration. They put on a good fireworks show and have food/fun stuff for the kids. Several families from church attended as well so we were able to hang out. It ended up being worth the wait (a little dead time in between activities and fireworks beginning) b/c it rained Saturday night.
I love this picture:)

Fun times on the big slide...Baylor had no fear this time

Caroline and her family were there. Baylor loves to spend time w/ her best friend
This is how most kids watched. Covering their ears, but still looking at the pretty colors...

Baylor wouldn't even look up
Me and my good lookin' Momma

Christian and James being silly boys and Baylor looking at them like they're crazy...that about sums up what all future events involving boys and girls will look like for us:)
